baptized in bouldin bayou
sipping on golden see-through
pent up pentecostal
the world fluttering with paths past
and others passed by
unfurled
this flag flies
still longing for lovers come alive
still beats like a beacon
distilled in amber embers
the remembering comes from all directions
us solar beings
mirrored star reflections
bear witness in time and distance
or barely there in our resistance
where to find your own death
and the prayers to let it breathe
in holotropic presence
the gift of one who receives
which in turn is giving over
into new sense and compass.
the ability to retrieve
such seeds of suns and singing
with each end as its next bringing.
i'll swear it in my eyes.
i'll wear it on my sleeve.
